We have a new One-Day Clutch Bag Course.

Ideal for newcomers and improvers in bag making, this class introduces students to the construction methods of a stylish clutch bag based on available patterns prepared by our renowned tutor Lesley Taylor.

You will learn a range of fabric/leather bag making techniques and walk away with a beautiful classic clutch bag worthy of any special event. The bags can be produced from a variety of cloth up-to furnishing weight or leathers.

Content

Cutting leather/material by hand
Leather skiving
Leather folding (beading)
Leather and material sewing
Practising to use the school's industrial sewing machines
Attaching standard fittings (magnetic fastener)
Assembling backings, linings and gussets

We suggest bringing your own leather or fabric that you like to work with to ensure you go home with the perfect bag for you. There is a limited selection available in the studio if necessary.

No previous experience is needed for this course which is suitable for everyone. We believe you will have great fun!

Experience of using a domestic sewing machine is necessary to take this class.
