The class is ideal for anyone looking to pursue their interest in shoemaking over a longer period of time, either as a hobby or career choice. It is aimed at both beginners and improvers looking to acquire shoemaking techniques and develop their skills during short, regular sessions.
Students start with the basic principals of pattern cutting and move onto preparing and constructing a pair of ladies court shoes in their choice of materials while improvers cover more advanced aspects of pattern cutting, preparing and constructions. The objective is to complete a pair over the term but projects can be continued over to the next term of evening classes if not completed.
This course is arranged in terms, which students can book on an individual basis. To gain a more advanced understanding of pattern cutting and shoemaking techniques, it is recommended taking terms of evening classes on an on-going basis.
A choice of ladies lasts in standard sizes (British 2 to 11, European 35 to 45, American 4.5 to 13.5) will be available to use during the workshop sessions subject to availability.
The price includes specialist shoe components.
